Save your ads as a "text" file to easily enable you to copy & paste your ad
at each listing site.
Tip: When copying & pasting into forms, highlight your ad, right
click on your mouse and click on copy. Place your cursor in the form, right click on
your mouse and click on paste. This tip will save you a great deal of time.
Testing Your Ad:
It is very important to test your ads
response rate. If new subscribers are days apart, try rewriting your ad. It may take
several re-writes and tests before you find an ad that works. Once you've got a great ad,
promote it to the fullest. In a few months, you may want to freshen it up. Even the best
ad copy can become stale after a while.
Tricks For Testing Your Ads:
A great way to test your ad is called, "keying or key coding." When submitting
several different ads, you can use different keys depending upon your subscribing methods.
Key Coding Your Ads:
Tracking your ads response rate will be the key to your success.
1. Make a list of your ads and number them. 1,2,3, etc.
2. You can key your ads using the subject of your email. Many times, if you ask for a
certain "subject" description, it may not be provided. To avoid this problem you
can add a simple code to your email tag. mailto:subscribe@youradd.com?subject=ad1 This
code should contain your subscribe address and will automatically fill in the subject with
your ad key when clicked on. The "ad1" stands for ad number one. The second ad
you have listed should be coded as ad2 and so on. By coding your ads you will know exactly
where your leads are coming from.
3. Begin submitting your ad and replace your normal email address or subscribe address
with your key coded subscribe address.
Once you've tested your ads and determined which ad is pulling the most responses, you can
easily test which classified ad sites, etc., are producing results as well using the same
key coding method. This will save you a lot of valuable time by only placing your ads at
classified ad sites, etc., that produce results.
